Return of Yet Another JOURNAL!

That's right, yet another travel journal made an appearance today, this one being my FIRST trip to Italy/Germany/etc. in 2003. I know! What is happening here with all of the reappearing journals, right? Well I, for one, am not going to complain but rather will waste no more time and get started posting it all right here in Peep Bloggerville.

And so now I end this post with a couple little tidbits to launch Travel Blog Round II appropriately:

Beleaguered Labor Day

Usually holidays are meant to be enjoyable, fun, relaxing, etc. Well, Labor Day 2010 was almost all of the above, except for the stuffy head/nasal passages ordeal that tormented me throughout the weekend. But anyway, we managed to kick back a little at the homestead between running a few errands, spraying nasal decongestant up my nose every few hours (but only as directed so as not to become addicted to nasal spray, as warned by my ever-loving sister via Facebook), and listening to our fabulous Cellist Peep play during Mass at church.

Good times.

So back to working on that whole Long Lost Journal of My Trip to Europe blog entry, where my journal now has me headed to Paris from London. Wowee, people! You don't want to miss this one, let me tell you. Anyway, the text is ready to post, but not without actual photos of the events. digging... digging... oh yes! Found them. This is going to be amazing - stay tuned.

*Big Huge Drum Roll Here*

As we barrel into Back-to-School week, I'm feeling like that DRUM ROLL is following me around as we check off everything on our 'To Do' list in preparation for it all. I know, I know. Where's that Italy journal? It's on the way - no worries. In fact, here's Day #2, Thursday December 2nd, 2004. Not too detail oriented, but keep in mind that I'm headed toward my next destination where it gets all wild & crazy:
  • Went to Desanzano (Mom & Dad's place)
  • Left at night for Ryanair to London
As you can see, not much time for journaling but I do remember weighing those repacked bags on Mom & Dad's scale to make sure we didn't exceed weight limitations. Then we were off and running - London, England here we come!

December 1st, 2004: Off to Milan, Italy

Wednesday, December 1st, 2004:
"Left for Milan, Italy."
This was all that I entered in my journal for the day and appears to have been added after later journal entries were already entered. Pretty sure I entered it as a reference point. Obviously, I had very little time to journal on the actual day of leaving for Italy! But on a side note, I do remember repacking luggage w/Mom & Dad when I arrived to take off for London & Paris. OMG - Lost Journal Reappears!

Today while cleaning her room, Teen Peep found a little spiral blue notebook that shockingly holds journal entries written by Yours Truly during visits to Italy, London and Paris in December 2004.

Holy Lost Journal!!!

Yes, I'm more than a little excited about this discovery, so much that I'm willing to post my entries here on the Married with Peeps blog, photos and ALL.

Stay tuned... this promises to be one of my best travel blogs yet. :)

Red Hot Mama

Lately I've been journaling in an actual BOOK with PAPER and PEN, thus neglecting this online blog. *audible gasp* I know! Crazy to even think such a thing! But really, it's been kind of nice knowing that I can jot down thoughts any time, any place without worrying about grammar, spelling, and whether or not some random lurker is sneaking a peek at my thoughts... other than a couple Peeps of mine who might try to look over my shoulder while I'm writing.

Yet I'll never give up blogging completely - Not. A. Chance.

So here's a snapshot of my favorite birthday present of all time just received last night from the Peep Hubster - a late gift, but we're talking total forgiveness based on the fact that the present is RED and an IPOD NANO with PERSONALIZED ENGRAVING and well deserving of ALL CAPS:
